Who We Need

Agri Labour Australia is seeking a physically fit and self-motivated candidate to fill an promising, long-term role at a large mushroom farm in the Devonport region. A leader in the horticulture industry, our client is continually expanding their growing and harvesting operations. They present a promising future for those who are passionate about personal and professional growth.

As an integral member of the labouring team, you will be a highly versatile individual, with full availability including some weekends. Your hours will range anywhere between 20-38 hours, averaging around 30 hours/week. In this varied role, previous experience or a keen interest in horticulture is key. You will be responsible for the manual handling and transportation of compost around the production area (an Australian forklift ticket is highly advantageous). This highly physical role will require frequent lifting, bending and carrying of 10-20 kgs compost bags. You must be comfortable taking directions, working within a team environment and have a natural instinct for prioritising the safety of yourself and your team mates.

Given the physical nature of this role, the successful candidate will have to undergo a Drug and Alcohol test, as well as a full medical at their own cost.

 

Job Description

As this is a labouring role, successful candidates will be primarily responsible for:

- Manual handling and transportation of compost around the production area,
- Cleaning of equipment,
- Operation of the forklift (if ticketed)
- Other duties as determined necessary by the site supervisor.
