Job Description

Our client, one of Australia's largest cotton gins, are looking for a highly motivated supervisor to support our Site Manager in controlling various activities carried out at the warehouse for high efficiency of work and safe operations.

Commencing as soon as possible, the role will see you supervising of the seasonal teams for different shifts, as well as operating a forklift and/or loader when required and handling staff feedback and aiding in improvement efforts by the management team.

Your role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Understanding container delivery work schedules for bale handling
  • Loading containers with cotton bales
  • Ensure close supervision of all workers in the Warehouse precinct until they are trained and competent for their various roles
  • Ensure safe systems of work, provide sufficient information and instruction with training and supervision being provided.
  • Complete all quality inspection processes involved in the export of cotton as outlined by AQIS standards
  • File paperwork as required
  • Other duties as requested by Site Manager

This is a busy job but will provide you with great experience and a fun team environment!

Your Skills & Experience

You must be physically capable, experienced and ticketed in forklift operation. Committed to the full season, we are looking for people who are strong team players who are focused on maintaining a culture of safety for themselves and others. To be considered for the role, please ensure you can prove the following:

  • Australian forklift licence
  • Hardworking
  • Have a positive attitude
  • High level of WHS
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role
  • Reasonable computer literacy and good communication skills
  • Effective team player!
