ALMOND HARVEST

Join a harvest that’s popular and rewarding

Australia is a leading global producer of almonds, with vast orchards situated along the Murray River in South Australia, as well as in rural Victoria and New South Wales.

The season is highly intensive and typically runs from February through July, involving a combination of on-farm harvesting, stockpad work and factory processing.

If you meet the following criteria, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Physically fit and able to work extended hours and flexible shifts
  • Able to pass all drug and alcohol tests
  • High level of English communication skills
  • Enjoy a busy environment
  • Free from asthma and dust allergies
  • Committed to the whole season
  • Committed to the whole season
  • Dedicated to keeping yourself and your team members safe.
  • Forklift or other machinery licence (heavy rigid, front-end loader) is highly favourable.

Machinery experience is a bonus, but safety is everything.

If you’ve got a forklift licence, heavy rigid truck licence, or front-end loader ticket, you’ll be well placed for a range of roles across the season. Most importantly, we’re looking for people who look out for themselves and their teammates on the job. All successful applicants will need to pass a drug and alcohol test before starting and randomly throughout the season.

A positive attitude and a willingness to work

The almond harvest runs across a long season and covers a range of roles from on-farm harvesting and stockpad work through to factory processing. Whatever role you’re in, you’ll need to be physically fit, free from asthma and dust allergies, and comfortable working extended hours. Factory processing roles often run on rotating day and night rosters, so flexibility with shift work is helpful. Things can change quickly on the harvest, so being adaptable and easy to work with makes a real difference.
