The pay, hours, and perks

Broadacre roles pay between $30 and $45 an hour, with 50 to 70 hours of work available each week. Free accommodation is provided on farm, so your costs stay low while your earnings add up.

At Agri Labour Australia we’ve placed many candidates in jobs right across  broadacre farming, and are always looking for candidates to fill the following roles.

  • Harvest machine operators (shaker, sweeper, pick-up, bankout)
  • Farm hands
  • Tractor drivers
  • Combine harvester operators
  • Cotton picker operators

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for people with a positive attitude who can commit to working in broadacre farming.

Successful candidates for this demanding industry will be hard workers who are able to work long hours in potentially dusty conditions.

If you meet the following criteria, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Physically fit and able to work extended hours and flexible shifts
    Healthy and able to work in dusty conditions
    High level of English communication skills
    Enjoy a busy environment
    Committed to the whole season
    Dedicated to keeping yourself and your team members safe
    Forklift or other machinery licence (heavy rigid, front-end loader) is highly favourable.

Header operators, chaser bin drivers, and truck drivers are in high demand across our broadacre clients. If you’ve got relevant tickets or experience operating heavy machinery or managing irrigation on-farm, we want to hear from you.

People who are ready to work hard and commit to the season.

Broadacre harvesting is fast-paced and time-critical, our clients are running major operations and need people who show up, keep up, and take the work seriously. You’ll need to be physically fit, reliable, and comfortable working 50 to 70 hours a week when the crop demands it.
