Job description

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Grain Handler / Loader Operator to join a busy grain operation in Nullawil, VIC, within the agriculture and grain industry. This is a hands-on role combining front-end loader operation with general grain handling duties. You'll work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, supporting the efficient movement, storage, loading, and unloading of grain across the site.

Key Responsibilities

You'll support daily grain operations by safely operating machinery and completing general grain handling tasks.

  • Operate front-end loaders safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload grain as required
  • Build and maintain grain bunkers
  • Move grain safely throughout the site
  • Assist with grain receival, storage, and handling activities
  • Complete general site cleaning and housekeeping duties
  • Perform basic machinery checks and report equipment issues
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful, you'll have previous grain industry experience and be confident operating front-end loaders in a busy agricultural environment.

  • Previous grain handling experience essential
  • Previous front-end loader operating experience
  • Confident operating loaders safely and efficiently
  • Physically fit and comfortable completing hands-on duties
  • Reliable and flexible to work varied and extended hours
  • Comfortable working longer hours during peak operational periods
  • Strong commitment to workplace and machinery safety
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
