Job description

The Role

We are seeking reliable and hardworking Orchard Workers to join a busy fruit-growing operation in Speewa, NSW, approximately 20 mins from Swan Hill, Victoria. This is a hands-on, physically active outdoor role supporting both the thinning and harvest seasons across nectarine, apricot, and apple crops. You'll work as part of a fast-paced team where fruit quality, productivity, reliability, and safe work practices are essential.

Key Responsibilities

You'll support seasonal orchard operations by thinning and harvesting fruit while maintaining quality standards and meeting daily production requirements.

  • Thin nectarine, apricot, and apple crops as required
  • Harvest fruit according to quality and maturity standards
  • Sort and handle fruit carefully to minimise bruising and damage
  • Complete general orchard and crop maintenance duties
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production targets
  • Follow supervisor instructions and orchard procedures
  • Maintain safe work practices throughout each shift
  • Assist with other seasonal orchard duties as required

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful, you'll be physically capable, dependable, and comfortable working outdoors for extended periods.

  • Previous fruit thinning or picking experience desirable
  • Physically fit and able to complete repetitive manual tasks
  • Comfortable working long periods outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the seasonal period
  • Own reliable transport to and from the worksite
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet quality standards
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
