The Role
We are seeking reliable Strawberry Runner Labourers / Farm Hands to join a berry propagation operation in Ballandean, QLD, within the horticulture industry. This is a hands-on and physically active role involving strawberry and raspberry plant propagation, harvesting, trimming, planting, packing, and general farm maintenance. You’ll work in a practical, team-focused environment where plant quality, productivity, flexibility, and safe work practices are important.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll support day-to-day propagation and farm operations, completing a variety of manual and machinery-assisted tasks.
- Harvest, trim, and plant strawberry and raspberry plants
- Assist with packing, labelling, and dispatching produce
- Use hand trolleys, pallet trucks, and other non-licensed handling equipment
- Operate tractors, side-by-sides, and suitable farm machinery as required
- Assist with transferring produce bins and containers during harvest
- Complete manual weeding and general crop maintenance
- Clean and sanitise work areas and dispose of plant material
- Perform basic recording and general housekeeping duties
- Complete repetitive manual tasks including lifting, bending, and sorting
- Follow WHS procedures and promptly report hazards or safety concerns

Your Skills & Experience
To be successful, you’ll be physically capable, reliable, and willing to move between different farm and propagation tasks as required.
- Physically fit for manual work, including lifting, bending, sorting, and repetitive tasks
- Comfortable lifting items up to approximately 15 kg
- Reliable and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to plant health, quality, and workplace safety
- Flexible and willing to assist across different duties as required
- Previous farm, horticulture, nursery, or propagation experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and established farm procedures
- Comfortable working in a physically active farm environment
