Job description

Our client is a well-established and high-quality beef processor located in Moe, Victoria. We are currently searching for 100 meat process workers to work in the abattoir starting on the August 2026 onwards. With industry leading practices and a high calibre of products produced, you will become an integral part of ensuring quality is maintained at a high standard.

You will be paid under the Meat Industry Award -Level 2 rate at $26.60 per hour, and a 4-year full time contract with an average minimum of 38 hours per week. This will be aligned with the Fair Work Commission’s annual reviews, including any increases to the National Minimum Wage and minimum award rates of pay. You will be offered between 1-4 years of work with potential to upskill.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with leading providers of quality beef and beef products into the domestic and international markets in which we operate and have built a strong brand reputation on quality, safety and reliability in all that we do.

  • Handling and preparing meat for processing, including cutting, trimming, and deboning (once appropriately trained)
  • Operating machinery and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations throughout the processing stages
  • Conducting quality checks on processed meat products
  • Assisting in the packaging and labelling of meat products
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Handling various logistical duties, including inventory management and stock rotation
  • Assisting with other labour tasks per your supervisor’s direction to support overall day to day operations of the plant.
