The Dairy Farm Milking Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of cows to and from the dairy, operating milking equipment, maintaining animal hygiene and welfare, and identifying and reporting any animal health concerns. Our client, a cattle dairy operation based in Warragoon, NSW, is currently looking to fill 5 Dairy Farm Hand positions, with work commencing from September 2026 onwards.
You are required to work in a dairy farm environment, moving and handling cattle as part of daily milking operations. You will be comfortable working directly with livestock, physically fit, and able to carry out manual work including standing for extended periods across both the morning and afternoon milking shifts.
You will be paid under the Pastoral Award – Level 1, at an hourly rate of $25.74 per hour, with an estimated 38 hours of work per week. This will be aligned with the Fair Work Commission’s annual reviews, including any increases to the National Minimum Wage and minimum award rates of pay. You will be offered work for up to 4 years under the Pacific Labour Scheme (PALM), with potential for job progression.
