Job description

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Grain Handler to join a busy operation in Moree, NSW, within the agriculture and grain industry.

This is a hands-on role supporting the safe handling, storage, and distribution of grain. You'll work across multiple areas of the site including receivals, storage management, and quality control, ensuring smooth daily operations while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

This role supports the efficient handling, storage, and quality control of grain across the site.

  • Operate grain handling equipment including augers, conveyors, and elevators
  • Load and unload grain trucks safely and efficiently
  • Monitor grain quality, including moisture, contamination, and pest activity
  • Conduct grain sampling, testing, and record results
  • Operate weighbridge systems and complete data entry
  • Perform routine inspections of storage facilities and bunkers
  • Complete tarp work, sweeping, shovelling, and general clean-up
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and basic servicing of equipment
  • Maintain safe work practices and follow site procedures

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have strong practical skills and experience in grain handling or similar environments.

  • Previous experience in grain handling, agriculture, warehousing, or similar industries
  • Ability to safely operate machinery and equipment
  • Working at Heights ticket (mandatory)
  • EWP (Elevating Work Platform) licence (mandatory)
  • Physically fit and capable of manual labour including lifting, shovelling, and climbing
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak harvest periods
  • Driver's licence preferred
