Job description

Our client is an industry leading agribusiness with sophisticated Blueberry operations located in Mundubbera, QLD. They are currently looking to fill 100 Blueberry Picker positions across their farming site, with work commencing from July 2026 onwards.

You will be required to work in a farming environment where weather conditions typically include cool mornings and hot days from late September through October and into November, with temperatures increasing rapidly. Work is performed outdoors in the field, including under protective crop netting.

You will be paid under Agri Labour Australia Horticulture Agreement 2016 – Level 2, at a minimum hourly rate of $33.05 per hour, with at least 120 hours of work, every 4 weeks of your placement. This will be aligned with the Fair Work Commission’s annual reviews, including any increases to the National Minimum Wage and minimum award rates of pay. You will be offered up to 9 months of work and potential to upskill into leadership roles.

Key duties include:

  • Looking for Ripe Berries (Color , Firmness , Size)
  • Picking berries (roll the berries off the plant with your fingers—avoid damaging the delicate fruit)
  • Using the bucket (avoid over-loading and sorting before you put into the bucket)

Characteristics and Aptitudes:

To be considered for the roles, it’s important you meet the following criteria:

  • Comfortable working in an outdoor environment
  • Good communication skills and able to follow instructions
  • No asthma or dust allergies
  • Live locally or be happy to relocate to Mundubbera
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions
  • Able to follow directions and work unsupervised whilst showing high levels of initiative
  • A team player and happy working with a multicultural team
