The available roles
This summer, Agri Labour Australia is teaming up with the Granite Belt Growers Association to recruit enthusiastic farm workers for the busy harvest season from November to April. If you’re keen to get your hands dirty and experience life on the farm, this is your chance to join a vibrant community of like-minded adventurers.
Duties include:
- Picking fresh produce straight from the source
- Packing fruit and vegetables for market
- Pruning and shaping fruit trees
- Trellising grapevines and crops
- Thinning fruit to ensure quality
- Irrigation set-up and maintenance
- Spray application for plant care
- Tractor driving for those with experience.
What to expect
Farm work is physical and requires you to be outdoors – often in hot and sunny conditions. You should also be prepared to work 6-7 days a week during peak times.

Shortly after applying, all candidates will receive a follow-up survey via email, with questions relating to the specific requirements of the Granite Belt positions. Applicants will only be considered for interview upon the completion of the survey.
