Roles Available:

Locomotive Driver's Assistant:

• Transport empty and full cane bins.
• Inspect bins for damage and tag.
• Assist with on-the-job training.
• Monitor position of traffic and personnel.
• Service and adjust equipment.
• Maintain general housekeeping.

General Mill Worker:

• Maintain factory operations.
• Carry out general maintenance tasks.
• Work at a range of heights from ground to overhead.
• Shovel waste material.
• Assist tradesmen in maintenance and repair.
• Fetch and carry parts for tradesmen.
• Assist with rigging loads and erecting scaffolds.
• Operate machinery such as pedestal and portable grinders.
• Team lift lengths of steel and pipework.

Cane Rail Labourer:

• Service and adjust equipment installation.
• Assist with track/bridge/civil construction and maintenance.
• Lay tracks and maintain tools and equipment.
• Change sleepers under tramline and rail fasteners.
• Use crowbars and carry out basic metal cutting.
• Work on cane rail bridges.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards.

Your Skills & Experience:

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• Physically fit for the role.
• Possess a C Class Driver's License.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Mechanically minded.
• Able to pass drug and alcohol tests.
• Free from asthma and dust allergies.
• Team player with a strong work ethic.
• Own transportation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
