Agricultural jobs for veterans
After serving in the military, the transition back to civilian life can be a challenge. Looking for employment can be difficult – but with so many highly transferable skills including diligence, commitment, technical training, attention to detail and the ability to work both to deadline and as part of a team, a veteran can be a huge asset to any agriculture company.
Founded with the intention of helping veterans find stable and rewarding employment that matches their existing skill-set, many of our veterans find they are the perfect fit for a role within the agriculture industry. Additionally, veterans who are re-entering life outside the defence force find the space and community spirit of regional Australia to be a calming and highly welcome change of pace.
Our thriving online community
The spirit of mateship behind Agri Veterans runs deep, and our vast social networks link veterans with fellow veterans, support networks and job opportunities. You can visit the Agri Veterans Facebook page here.
Since launch, Agri Veterans has placed more than 100 ex-defence members into agriculture positions. Word is quickly spreading, with more veterans and interested employers getting in touch each day, and feedback from both sides has been excellent.
Agri Veterans Family Fund
Agri Veterans has partnered with Legacy Brisbane to form the Agri Veterans Family Fund.
For every veteran we place, funds are donated to families of fallen veterans. Legacy uses funds raised by the Agri Veterans Family Fund to assist through:
- Family Support Emergency assistance relief payments for Legacy families in distress
